Hello!
I’m Emily (she/her/hers), a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW #110731) based in Los Angeles.
I specialize in working with adults and providing support for grief and loss, navigating cultural/ethnic identity, intergenerational/family of origin dynamics, and relationship/relational challenges. My goal is to assist my clients with gaining more satisfaction from their relationships with themselves and others.
About Emily
I’m Taiwanese-American and a proud Angeleno.
I am a career changer and formerly worked in advertising and marketing. My path to becoming a psychotherapist is shaped by my interest in human behavior, commitment to social justice, and personal life experiences. I’ve worked with adults from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and have supported clients through grief and loss, depression, life transitions, anxiety, relational trauma, and much more.
As a second-generation Asian-American cisgender woman, intersectionality serves as the framework in therapy. I am passionate about creating a safe space to process and explore who you are and help clients untangle difficulties related to intergenerational and family of origins dynamics. As an inclusive and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I take an anti-racist/anti-oppressive lens in my work and my personal life. I deeply value inclusivity and am proactive about educating myself to continue to grow personally and professionally. I am passionate about supporting non-mainstream populations and de-stigmatizing therapy.
In my spare time, I enjoy making pour-over coffee, listening to KCRW, camping, and going to the park with my dog, Daisy.
