Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of therapy do you practice?

Our work is individualized and is based on each therapeutic relationship and on each client’s needs. However, my approach is primarily rooted in attachment-based approaches: Psychodynamic psychotherapy (relational, object relations), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Attachment-Focused EMDR. I have extensive training in all three modalities and participate in continued training and consultation.

Do you take insurance?

My personal philosophy towards healing does not align with the documentation and diagnostic requirements that contracting with insurance entails, which tends to limit the length of treatment and justify a need for the treatment of specific pathologies. While I do not file with insurance, I am able to provide a superbill to file a claim for reimbursement for PPO and POS subscribers. Policies on reimbursement vary. Please reach out to your insurance provider for more information regarding out-of-network mental health coverage.

Are you providing virtual sessions or in-person?

Both! Virtual/telehealth sessions are conducted via HIPAA secure platforms such as SimplePractice or Doxy. In-person sessions are held at the Howe Building in Pasadena, CA. Therapist is fully vaccinated and maintains up-to-date booster shots per CDC/LA County Health Department guidelines. Vaccination records are required to receive in-person services. An air purifying system will run during appointments and surgical masks will be made available to clients.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Your appointment is reserved specifically for you, therefore appointments canceled less than 24 hours of notice will be charged the full session fee. Cancellations must be made by phone or email.
